KSU Geology Students Head on 6000 Mile Rockies Field Trip
Kent State geology students depart July 31 for a 6,000 mile field trip across seven mountain ranges in the central Rockies. In charge is geology instructor Henry H. Gray. Highlights include the Big Horns Wyoming Yellowstone National Park and the Great Salt Lake.

Metcalf Ace Newsman to Speak on Foreign Affairs
John C. Metcalfe, renowned journalist and former Washington diplomatic correspondent, will discuss European affairs and Capitol Hill during a Tuesday night lecture at the university auditorium. Record Summer Enrollment Reaches 2654 At University
Registrar Charles E.Atkinson reports a second summer session enrollment of 2654, up 175 from last year’s record. Pre-registration hit 1924 with 1550 veterans in classes. graduate and first term enrollments set new highs, while veterans remain in the majority though the gap narrows.

Phi Beta Phi Plans Summer Frolic At Moonlight Gardens
Phi Beta Phi will host its second annual Summer Frolic at Moonlight Gardens Myers Lake Canton on Friday August 19 from 9 to 12. Ray Robinson and his orchestra provide the music. Admission is 1 dollar per person with tickets available from members or at the door. Proceeds go to the university stadium fund.
