Plans for the first annual Fresh man frolic are completed. The event runs May 10 11 and 12 with a weekend full of activities. The high point is the second Freshman dance of the year on Friday May 10.

Miss Agnes H. Reigart of the Cleveland Board of Education will show colored moving pictures of Eastern South America Saturday at 7 30 p m in the Women's League room Moulton hall. She travels widely and filmed Japan recently and is active in Alpha Xi Delta alumnae Cleveland chapter.

Students Urged To Use Vacant Parking Space

D R Hinman university store room clerk urged students to park in the lot opposite Moulton hall and along the old cinder drive behind the dormitory. The two areas will be lined for two hundred cars and traffic violations will be strictly enforced with fines for tickets issued.

Show Delights with 14-Piece Band and 120 Cast

A fast paced production featured a 14 piece pit band under Bob Orpin. The 120 strong cast delivered six curtain calls. Coats were checked free and the evening left audiences laughing. The show was broadly praised as swell.

June commencement set with Dr. Floyd Reeves as speaker

The 27th annual commencement will award 263 seniors and seven graduate degrees on Friday June 7 at 10 am. Baccalaureate services are planned for Sunday June 2 at 3 pm. Dr. Floyd Reeves from Washington DC, NYA administrator, will deliver the keynote address. He holds degrees from Huron College and the University of Chicago and has authored multiple education texts. Seven graduates will receive master degrees: Virginia Ruth Cannon Raymond Givens Alfred Hudson Higley Dorothy Johnson Knight Julia DeFrance Marshall Anthony N. Ross and Harrison T. Sexton.

Pulitzer prize winning novelist Louis Bromfield warned that the present European war is part of a century long global conflict and could draw in the world, possibly taking five to ten years before U S entry. He urged journalism students to seek opportunities and learn widely, noting his own education came from war and wartime reporting.
