Friars Club Joins KSU Fraternity Ranks
The Friars club, formed in October 1947 by Catholic men, was accepted into KSU fraternities by the Inter-fraternity Council on April 20 with President George A. Bowman approving. New officers elected recently include Sal Gatti as president Lou Spinetti as vice president Dwight Strayer as treasurer and Tom Zengler as secretary. The group moved into its new home at 225 E College Avenue a year ago with John M Goudeau as advisor.

Senior Women Eligible For Writers Award
All senior women in journalism are eligible to apply for the Lambda Phi cup to be awarded at the publications banquet May 13. Application blanks may be obtained in the journalism office. The cup, given by Lambda Phi, will be awarded on the basis of character, scholarship, and extent and variety of work on publications. The winner will be chosen by the journalism faculty.

Students Cast Votes Today in Student Council Election
After date changes the student body votes today to elect the majority of its Student council for next year. There are also officers and representatives to Men's union and Women's league and Most Popular Man and Woman. No registration needed just activity cards. Polls open at 9 and close at 4 with three polling places. Winners announced at the Penny Carnival around 10 p.m.

Job Interviews Set for Navy and Kroger on Dates
Representatives from the Navy department and Kroger company will conduct interviews for students next week. Kroger retail merchandising and sales posts will be offered in Moulton Music room after a 9 a.m. meeting on Monday April 25. Navy interviews for men will follow on Wednesday April 27 at 1 p.m. at the appointments bureau.

Longer Poster Display Move Defeated By SC
Student council defeated a motion by Chuck Fletcher to allow political posters until after the election. Fletcher argued posters would boost turnout, but the measure failed by a wide margin. The timing set posters to be removed by 8 30 this morning as the election loomed. President Dempsey named John Morris to the election committee. Three council members were chosen for the constitution revision committee, to work with nine new members from the next council.

President Bowman To Speak On Kent State Policy
President George A. Bowman will discuss Kent State University policies and future plans in a Monday talk at 10 a.m. in the university auditorium.
