Dr Earl W Crecraft dean of the liberal arts college was elected president of the Kent Rotary club set to take office July 1 1941 for one year He will succeed Dr Raymond Clark head of elementary education and psychology as the club expands its University representation William D Taylor joins the board of directors bringing the eight member panel to four University men Also active in several Kent clubs Crecraft serves as chairman of the service and boys work committees and acts as Kent Chamber of Commerce national counselor

The Tavern scene ends with Eliza by a frozen river as the skiopticon projects larger than life backgrounds. Director Howard Hansen uses 17 painted canvases, reduced and filmed in Kodachrome, to create 17 distinct projections on a 17 by 28 foot slide.

Henry Theiss a junior in the College of Liberal Arts leaves for Washington D C to attend the Institute of Government as a University representative. He won top honors in a competitive exam to determine the Kent representative. The institute offers more than 70 students a five day look at the federal establishment and informal chats with Chief Justice Hughes Sidney Hillman and Charles Palmer.
