Four candidates were deemed ineligible for the general student election petitions due to duplications and signature shortages. Sally Koch was rejected for secretary and three others for junior or senior roles, all Nu K party members. Results were to be announced at the Popularity Ball on April 21.

Indian UN Delegate Nilkanth Chavre to Speak on World Peace
Dr Nilkanth Chavre United Nations delegate from India and noted lecturer will speak Tuesday April 18 at 1 pm on Future of World Peace and Social Forces at Work. He is a longtime Gandhi ally with a history as India's UN representative and ties to Ford and Moscow. The talk is sponsored by the American Commons Club under the Assembly committee. A reception follows at the club fraternity house.

Divvies must file spring quarter budgets with the Allocations committee by 4 p.m. today in 108K. Groups failing to submit receive no funds though allocations are funded on a percentage basis. Currently 18 groups receive student allocations.

MU Plans Chimes For Administration Building
The Men's Union led by Jerry McFadden as chairman with Bill Riley and Harry Muldovan organizing a drive for 18 000 to fund chimes for the administration building. McFadden says the chimes would establish a tradition the school could be proud of.
