Former Student Killed In Crash
Ensign Preston Sprunger, former University student in the college of education, was killed in a plane crash at Capolis Beach, Washington. A music major, he organized and directed the Wesley Foundation choir and was active in the University band, orchestra, and acappella choir. Sprunger withdrew in May 1941 to enlist in the navy and had twice won the Manchester achievement award.
