Professors Reassign Subjects for Army Training
Army training shifts fifteen sections of thirty three air crew students begin classes yesterday with instructors from biology education philosophy political science marketing and journalism taking over history English and other required subjects. Physics becomes the core under Dr. Glenn Q Lefler and Dr. Ralph W Dexter aids geography. history teaching is supervised by Henry M. Dater with listed faculty including Alvin J. Miller Herman D. Penny Drive Surpasses One Thousand Dollars This Year
The Penny Drive raised $1071.72 in the Fall and Winter quarters and starts a new week with $402.31 remaining, led by the Home Economics club under Agnes Young. With enrollment down and more men in service, more groups are urged to sponsor the Spring drive. Sigma Tau Gamma led with $185.11 over two prior quarters.

Smallwood To Direct Women's Assembly Tomorrow
An assembly for all University women will be held in the auditorium tomorrow at 9 a m EWT. Mary L Smallwood dean of women announced yesterday the assembly on student relations with air crew students will be directed by Miss Smallwood. Men students meet at 9 a m in room 317 McGilvrey hall with Dean Raymond M Manchester in charge. All students will be excused from classes and attendance is required.

Summit county authorities delivered a verdict of murder and death by own action in the case of Lucille Caprano a 23 year old University senior and George W Reynolds a 55 year old Twin Lakes country club chef Sheriff Walter P ONeill and Coroner R E Amos said Reynolds killed Caprano at the Silver Lake golf course then killed himself on Brandywine road north of Hudson.

Kent women win Pi Kappa Delta debate title at Heidelberg
Kent University debaters Elizabeth Ersley and Adelaide Snyder claim the provincial Pi Kappa Delta title after a two day Great Lakes tournament at Heidelberg College in Tiffin Ohio. The pair tied for first with Otterbein and Bowling Green men, sharing the title due to conference round limits. Myers placed second in men’s oratory and Snyder finished third in extemporaneous speaking. The Kent team defeated Bowling Green Heidelberg Central Michigan Hope and both Michigan State colleges en route to the top positions.

Archaeologist Dr Mylones Describes Digging Relics Ingenuity
Dr Mylones spoke to about 250 students and faculty outlining archaeologists work in 1936 37 excavations in which he helped. He said excavators use shovels and baskets not steam shovels and explain how clearing vegetation reveals entire ancient cities preserving lifeways.
