Kerrville to Benefit from Reduced Feed Rates
Kerr County ranchers will save about 3.50 per ton on hay and grain this winter after Kerr County was added to the list of counties receiving reduced intrastate feed rates. The change followed efforts by State Senator Julius Real. Reduced rates apply to corn oats hay and sorghum grain with Cotton seed cake meal and hulls likely included. The Hill Country expects better winter ranges due to rains, reducing feeding needs this season.
