Austin March 19 The regular session of the Thirty Ninth Legislature adjourned after sixty six calendar days with notable restraint on taxes and a record of completed general appropriation bills The body abolished the Warehouse and Markets Department and created a two lawyer Commission of Appeals for the Court of Criminal Appeals while transferring weights and measures duties to the State Department of Agriculture The Fergusons advocate a gasoline tax increase and reduced motor vehicle license fees to fund highways and school per capita aid. a special session is likely but not guaranteed.

Taylor Gray marriage shocks local friends in Kerrville
