Parents Meet in School Auditorium for PTA Delegation
The P. T. A. met Monday afternoon March 23 in the school auditorium with few parents present. After minutes were read a short business session decided to send a delegate to Brownwood for an April 2 meeting. The third grade won a pot plant for the largest parent turnout. Reporter invites more parents to attend the next meeting.

Ten Thousand Dollar Building Contracts Let
Building projects totaling about ten to eleven thousand dollars will begin Monday week on three concrete structures at the corner east of Heyman Drug Store. John Braley, who arranged the deal, says the Meat Market building, Chase building, and corner building owned by A L Bartley will extend and front Holekamp street with glass frontage. The old cellar will be enlarged, the roofs are to be iron or tar and gravel, and the one story buildings will support two or three stories later. Occupancy hoped for by summer.

Tick Eradication Bill Approved in Ninety Days
Austin March 28 Governor Miriam Ferguson approved the tick eradication bill passed by the Thirty ninth legislature. The measure becomes effective 90 days after adjournment with compulsory state funded eradication in a defined eastern territory. It bans county programs, requires permits from the Livestock Sanitary Commission for moving infected cattle, mandates regular dipping, and authorizes immediate slaughter on one dipping. The plan includes fever tick eradication on all farm animals and allows entry to cattle owner premises. An emergency $100000 appropriation funds the work this fiscal year. A special church service is set for Roosevelt School House in April to support educational work for school children. Born Tuesday a girl to Mr and Mrs Robert Loeffler.
