Fort Worth evangelist Horace W. Busby concluded an 18 sermon protracted meeting at the College Street Church of Christ on Sunday. Busby has averaged 620 sermons per year for 28 years and has baptized over 16,000 since starting ministry in 1910. Visitors came from Austin San Angelo and nearby towns as launcheons and suppers were held in the basement each Sunday.

Funeral Rites Held for F T Spence in Rocksprings
Funeral services for Free Tom Spence 69 longtime Kimble County resident were held March 10 at the Rocksprings Church of Christ with Burl Brockman officiating. Burial followed in Rocksprings cemetery. Spence born January 20 1879 in Goliad County married Maud Nichols December 15 1903. He lived in Rocksprings nine years after ranching in Gillespie Kimble and Edwards counties. Eagle Tracksters Win Places In Border Olympics
Vernon Dutton, a high school senior, placed third in the 880 yard dash in finals and set Border Olympics records in Laredo over the weekend. Earl D. Brite and Gary Schwienning qualified for events in the 200 yard low hurdles and 220 yard dash. G. W. Walker sprained an ankle warming up and will miss high jump and pole vault for about three weeks. Junction’s mile relay team finished second in a field of 32 with Dutton Brite Schwienning and Gene Coleman.

War Memorial Project Starts With Trees On Main Street
