Ruth loyalty and a brave choice to Bethlehem

The piece follows Ruth and Naomi from famine in Bethlehem to Moab and back, highlighting Ruth’s voluntary vow to join Naomi, the loyalty she shows in leaving her homeland, and the later tale of Ruth and Boaz. It contrasts Ruth’s steadfast character with the shallowness of rapid growth trees, drawing moral on courage and providence. It ends noting a pecan tree planted for Governor Hogg’s grave and an ad for poultry at Bissett’s Meat Market.
