Ballinger Band Arrives For Week's Visit
The Junior and Senior Ballinger band members, about seventy five people, arrived Sunday with relatives and friends under J D Motley. They camp and host daily concerts on the Court House lawn, enjoy bathing in Llano, and are promoting Ballinger as a friendly West Texas town while delivering a mix of camp life and rehearsals.

V H Ranch Camp Opens For Summer

Out of Town Men Show Much Interest

Highway Supervisor Visits County for Brief Inspection
L. E. Laurence former disbursing officer now oversees two districts and part of another visiting this area for a few days. He and Sanford Roe the local maintenance overseer met The Eagle. Laurence praised state road work across about 40 counties from Bexar to El Paso noting excellent travel conditions and increased maintenance demand and commended Roe's supervision and local highway staff.

Big barbecue planned with sports and dances
A group of businessmen decided to stage a large barbecue on the 30th with dancing on the 29th and 30th. A subscription list circulated funds costs while polo, baseball, rodeos and various concessions are planned. Committees to be chosen this week and announcements next week.

Barbecue at Noxville Plans Picnic and Dance
Plans for an all day picnic and free barbecue at the Dillard Stapp ranch on James River head springs on June 25th with public speaking by State and County candidates and other entertainments. A dance is scheduled for June 24th and 25th and the Eagle will distribute circulars in nearby towns. Privileges for sale for Junction Barbecue June 30th with bidders June 19 at 4 pm at the Court House west door. Peter Paterson of Austin visited the Mudge ranch last week.
