The Fair Association Executive Committee meeting was postponed due to a holiday. A new meeting is set for Saturday at 2 p m on the Court House Lawn, with all committees urged to attend and discuss actions for a successful fair. J G Hill replaces Ollie Spruel on the Polo and Race Committee.
E R Waite of Shawnee Board of Commerce extols advertisers for fair prices and service linking quality and economy. He urges readers to read ads before shopping, noting ads offer choice and value. William Wilson joins Phillip Joseph stock moving team and stays on with the store.
Arrangements set for Third Attack Group from Kelly Field to conduct air maneuvers a few miles above Kerrville from August 6 to 21. About 200 men will travel from Kelly Field, with the band and baseball team. At least twelve planes will be used, with more possible to maintain contact with base headquarters. Headquarters will be Slim's Camp and Nichols place as landing field and truck parking.
State Senator Robert A. Stuart says no definite decision has been made on a Kerrville to Brady railroad via Mason. He notes eastern interests before the Railroad Commission and calls dispatches of a built road premature. The route would shorten plains hauls to San Antonio and connect with trucks, aiding hill country transit.
Mr John Crowley and Miss Nila Nance were married last Sunday by Rev Kelley at the Baptist Parsonage and left for a honeymoon at Corpus Christi. Crowley is a prosperous Abilene country farmer and Nance daughter of W E Nance of Junction. She has worked in Brady and will live near Abilene after the wedding.

C M Breeding announces that Brooks Dairy has been acquired by Baker-Breeding Dairy. Brooks Dairy route transfers to new owner last Friday. deliveries may lag briefly as routes are restructured. Baker-Breeding invites public visits to inspect sanitary methods at their up-to-date operation.
