Irrigation Caravan To Spend Night Here

The Gravity Irrigation News caravan guided by C H Pease will stop in Junction after visiting Elephant Butte Roosevelt Dam and other western Texas projects. About 100 cars left the Valley on the 18th and will travel to San Antonio Del Rio Alpine Ft. Stockton Balmorhea Junc tion, arriving July 11 for a night in the park before continuing or returning.

Methodist Revival Closes After Two Week Meeting

A two weeks meeting at the Methodist Church closed Sunday evening with Rev. J. Virgil Davis delivering the final sermon. The revival drew large crowds with 31 professions of faith and 29 joining the church. Davis and family are in Kerrville for Sunday School courses and will return to Copperas for regular services. Dr. B. W. Snider of Dublin arrives to open a summer dental practice in Dr. Rogers’ office, following his Dublin High School and University of Tennessee education. Tom Diskellard and son visit Mrs. M. F. Holland and Miss Margaret this week.

Grocery Stock Sold to Brady Merchant J A Silvers

L A Taylor sold his grocery stock to J A Silvers of Brady this week. Silvers expects to continue the same line of merchandise, possibly expand stock, and move his family here soon. Mr Watters will remain connected with the store. Silvers has lived in Brady and bought cotton before. he plans to become a local citizen.

War Vets Warned Against Money Lenders

Veterans warned by Director Hines of the Veterans Bureau in Washington about lenders seeking bonus certificates as security. Chief Moran of the Secret Service reported 235 adjusted service certificates were accepted by a San Antonio money lender. Hines urged veterans groups and communities to protect veterans' interests and enforce two year loan restrictions on certificates. Tr Spaulding and family of Waxahachie and Carr Morris and family of Forreston spent a week camping on local ranches.

More Tourists Camp Demand Grows In Local Area

Camps V H Ranch Resort and Prices Camp report full capacity since mid month while Ben Simons camp at Hoosevelt also sees strong patronage. Town camps turn people away as visitors from across the country write for reservations with dining rooms and cottage beds filled.
