Child Kidnapped in San Antonio Street Incident
Edna Jean Wilson, 5, daughter of attorney Robert Wilson, was abducted while playing near her grandmother's Highlad Park home. A stylishly dressed woman seized the child, placed her in a large car, and sped away as investigators pursued leads and tracked the vehicle. The custody arrangement followed a divorce from the mother. An eyewitness reported two to three other people remained in the automobile during the abduction.

Sunday School Organized at Copperas
Rev. Davis preached at Roosevelt Schoolhouse Saturday night to a large crowd and again at Copperas Sunday. A Sunday School was organized with expected good attendance. An old time dinner on the ground was enjoyed and a $27.00 collection for the Orphans Home was raised.

Christmas Tree to feature real Santa at Sunday School
At a church meeting the Methodist Sunday School decided to set up a Christmas Tree and have a real Santa Claus distribute presents on Christmas Eve. Each pupil will receive a gift and parents are asked to bring presents to be placed on the tree for distribution. Everyone is welcome to contribute regardless of church affiliation. Further announcements are expected next week. Arch-Deacon McKenzie of San Antonio will conduct Episcopal services next Sunday at 7:30 pm. Mrs. R. G. Nance had The Eagle sent to her father, J. C. Greenwood, in Calf Creek, McCulloch County.

Consideration of Cancellation Road Contracts in 33 Counties
Austin Dec 7 Consideration of Attorney General Dan Moodys request to cancel road maintenance contracts in thirty three counties was begun by Chairman Hal Moseley and John H Bickett of the new commission. The matter would be further taken up Tuesday with John Cage in Austin. Moody told Moseley and Cage he would not withdraw the request despite a prior refusal by the old commission, which had canceled Limestone and Camp counties but found other contracts reasonable. Frank V Lanham then chairman urged action to notify contract holders of their status.
