The Eagle Will Not Be Printed Next Week
The Eagle will not print next week as a holiday tradition. A twelve page Christmas edition was planned but light plant trouble cut linotype time, leaving an eight page issue late. The next issue will be December 31. The editor Mrs Perry and the Little Eagle will visit Dublin for a few days. Christmas ecards can be filled this week and Monday Tuesday Saturday next week.

Copperas Creek Ranch Man Dies at Kerrville
E. O. Bode prominent Copperas Creek rancher died after surgery in Kerrville Hospital for a serious illness. Born in Mason County 63 years ago, he moved to Copperas Creek 25 years ago and built a substantial livelihood. Survived by wife two daughters Mesdames Harrison of Junction and Karbach of New Braunfels and four sons Lee R San Angelo Wesley New Braunfels Ernest and Ed. Funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at Junction Methodist church with burial in Junction Cemetery.

Christmas Tree at Cedar Hill Seeks Club Room Funds
Cedar Hill Home Demonstration Club plans a Christmas tree at the schoolhouse with a stand selling food and drink to raise money for a new club room. Ranchmen Buy Several Fine Herd Bulls
S. S. Bundy Tommie Cowsett and O. W. Cardwell returned home from a bull buying trip in the San Angelo country. Tommie bought Don Woodford, grandson of Cold Woodford, for 50000. The Hereford bull set records and heads the C. A. Brown herd in the United States. Bundy and Cardwell bought two registered grandsons of Old Repeater from Harris Missouri, and Bundy also purchased a six year old Gaylad bull from Merkel Texas. J. S. Fleming brought large turnips from his garden, showing winter gardening can be successful here and that the area can supply more vegetables locally. Geo. Cavaness bought a new Overland Sedan in Dallas for Jacob Iritz of London.

Blacksmith Shop Burns Near State Bank
The blacksmith and repair shop owned by Rudolph Becker near the State Bank burned Wednesday morning after the owner left for Powell Garage. Neighbors saw heavy smoke from the forge, two gas drums risked explosion, and the loss is estimated at four to five thousand dollars with thirty eight thousand dollars in insurance. Heavier equipment survived. rebuilding will begin soon.

Recital Draws Large Audience at High School
Miss Lois Hawkins presented music pupils in a Wednesday recital at the High School Auditorium. Miss Blix Hawkins added a ballet and a Spanish dance as the audience, among the largest for the new hall, gave full appreciation.
