Mexico City reports Congress nullified the recent presidential election and scheduled a new vote for March 5, 1914. Provisional President Huerta is confirmed in his duties until the next election amid reports of Catholic members' absence.
Joliet militants failed to place Emmeline on the Retail Clerks’ Union throne. Hanson remains recording secretary despite a contested race with candidates Lillian Dahlem and Olga Olsen, neither of whom were nominated. Festivities followed at Woolworth building with a banquet and an address by William H. Murphy. New officers include President William Telfer and Vice President John Adams. other officers and delegates were elected with Olga Olsen and Agnes Cress as trustees.

Frida funeral from Lockport residence set for 8 AM with body later shipped to Pontiac for services and interment.
Police seek two knee pant youths accused of stopping a runaway horse owned by grocer E. C. Lundeen of Illinois and McDonough streets. The pair allegedly searched for a stable to hide the horse and wagon on Hutchins street until a reward was promised. Walter Hennessy later located the gear and informed a resident, who explained the youths left it there Monday. If caught the youths may face larceny charges.
Dr. Harry F. Ward, a Boston sociologist, spoke last night at the Ottawa Street M E church banquet hosted by Methodist men. About 150 attended as Ward discussed The Child and the Community and The Human Side of Industry, blaming inadequate upbringing for crime and urging city-led support for children whose parents cannot afford schooling.
Dublin report says the transport strike that began in August was sealed today and the men will report for work tomorrow restoring services after months of disruption.
