Former Sikeston outfielder Pletcher Hodges killed his wife Annie Hodges 27 at her Blytheville Arkansas home. A countrywide hunt followed as Hodges fired at his mother in law Minnie Reing while fleeing. He used aliases J G Bean Fletcher Hodges and was last seen heading toward Poplar Bluff.
