Arrest Expected in Kresge Embezzlement Case
W. R. Smart, 28, manager of a Kresge neighborhood store, facing embezzlement charges of 1940 dollars. He disappeared last Friday leaving wife and two children. Two Chicago men traveling with Terry Druggan in a 16 cylinder car were arrested in Lexington hotel on fugitive and loitering charges. They gave false names Max Schneider and Louis Clusman. Schneider claimed he would rather be with Druggan than judges, and said they came to view horses and possibly buy yearlings. He cited Jake Lingle’s murder in defense of their trip.

Garnishee Opera Stars Pay Check
A $5,000 garnishment on St. Louis Municipal Opera star Guy Robertson was served on the Municipal Theater Association after Max Hart filed suit in circuit court.
