Beeson v Griffin court case over real estate sale
In Justice Bert Webb's court Beeson sued Griffin for a $167 commission tied to Beeson’s sale of land north of Jasper to Fred Pugh at about $5 an acre. Griffin allegedly found a buyer. Pugh denied prior knowledge. Jury ruled for Beeson the defendant. John Flanigan of Carthage defended for plaintiff, Eli Scott for defendant.
