Death of Mrs. C J Schooler in Carthage Frights Community Mourning
Mrs. C J Schooler mother of Mrs. C T Whitesel who had moved to Carthage died at her daughter's home last Friday night after a paralytic stroke struck a few hours earlier. Residing in Carthage she was visiting when stricken, known to many in Jasper. Mrs Whitesel has the sympathy of numerous friends here. Correspondents urged to mail letters Monday to reach the office Monday evening.

J F Turner, Jasper section boss, was sent to Missouri Pacific Railroad hospital in Kansas City this morning after two weeks at home with rheumatic trouble.

George Paisley Loses Leg in Texarkana Accident
Jasper friends learn that George Paisley formerly of Jasper now in New Boston Texas lost a leg after a broken leg led to amputation at a Texarkana hospital. He was treated after an accident last week and is reported to be recovering well with sympathies from Jasper friends.

Team Runs Away Hitched to Roberts Store Wagon
Fred Pugh’s team bolted from the rack behind Roberts Store on Friday when his four year old son climbed into the wagon. The boy was thrown in front of the M. E. Church but not hurt. The team turned east at the Presbyterian Church and struck a tree in H. J. Deardorff’s yard, breaking the harness and coupling pole. Damages were small aside from the harness and pole.

Postoffice Will Move to New Jasper Location
Contracts signed between the United States Postoffice Department and Mrs. A. H. Hendricks lease a new ten year term for the Jasper postoffice. The office will move from the Fairfield building to the former Burns harness shop by October 1. The current site will have served ten years by that date.

Musical Program by Miss Brooks and Mrs Peterson
Miss Flavel Brooks pianist and Mrs Allen Peterson soprano will present a Musical program at the M BE Church Friday night May 12 under the auspices of the Uthal Society. A barn belonging to Charley Ferris about two miles northwest of Jasper burned Monday night after midnight. The blaze destroyed the barn harness a plow or two and some feed with cause unknown.

Lee Chambers Leads a Cow Twenty Miles to Jasper
Lee Chambers proprietor of the Palace Cafe bought two cows at Iantha last week and, walking and leading the livestock, brought them to Jasper last Friday. Iantha lies about nineteen to twenty six miles northwest of Jasper. Last December he led a blind ford twelve miles in a rainstorm, a feat locals recall.
