Tidy Gotr's Troubles in Cherryvale
Miss Tildy Gobr of Jasper Missouri wandered Cherryvale streets last week. Marshal Watson forced her from town as he suspected drug influence after odd behavior at the depot and on trains. She registered as Ming Tildy Gobr then claimed a Chanute destination with a wealthy friend. Taken to Frisco depot, she was held for a Chanute train while officials sent her toward asylum in Nevada per county court order. She had no money, baggage held until settlement.

A Thursday storm caused heavy damage to fruit trees and gardens with wheat blown down and a chicken house blown away. Farmers plan extra work, possibly on Sunday, to salvage crops.
