The Jasper school board in a called session elected Omar T. Stevens principal and Miss Bess Cowen teacher for the high school, filling all vacancies for the coming year. Miss Gresham joined Lamar before notification. Stevens has 24 years’ experience across Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

At a board meeting of the Farmers Cooperative Elevator Co. 1 ic Hull was elected manager replacing J P Lelie who retired to reduce expenses during the dull season. Hull is a well known local farmer and we expect stockholders will approve. Leiss, longtime manager since construction, left rather than accept a pay cut. The cooperative elevator has shown satisfactory business, though seasonal dips can drop operations below cost.
