Death Claims Three at Christmas in Community Memory
The Christmas morning death of Milton Starbuck at his daughter’s home in Afton Oklahoma shocks a close knit community. He was 90, a former builder and contractor, remembered for vigor and a love of history. Surviving: daughters Mrs. I. L. Thomas of Jasper, Mrs. C. R. Randolph of Afton, Mrs. G. W. Alpha Club Meeting Led by Acting Vice President
Mrs Frank Rice hosted Alpha Club on Wednesday afternoon with Miss Nora Fox absent. Vice president Mrs Drake chaired the round table discussion and a social hour followed. Refreshments were served by the hostess and her sister Mrs Joe Black.

Pneumonia Claims Life of Jasper Farmer J H Coiner
John H Coiner a well known retired farmer about 70 died at his Jasper home early Wednesday after an eight day pneumonia illness. A short service was held at the house and the remains shipped to Danforth Alabama for burial. Dr J L Martin conducted the service. Family members were with him in his final hours and the community extends sympathy.

Mrs. F. M. Cline traveled to Allerton Iowa after a telegram said her son Wesley who had recently gone there was very ill. The attending physician diagnosed cellulitis a nerve disease causing paralysis with pain. A Tuesday letter said Wesley was better and able to be about again soon.
