Two teams arrive this Thursday for a double header under the opera house lights. The Jasper Giants meet the Lamar Athletic Association, while the Jasper Eighth Grade face the Lamar Boy Scouts in separate contests.
Trustees of Masonic Cemetery Jasper with Peerless Chapter No 75 will host a turkey dinner January 1 1910 in the Chapman building formerly the Johnston meat market. Tickets fund cemetery improvements with girls of Peerless Chapter serving. many local businesses and citizens donated turkeys coffee bread and trimmings. The event aims to rescue the cemetery from decline and fund beautification with no profit motive, urged as a public spirited plan for community cooperation.

The Christmas savings club started strongly this week at First National Bank with 71 accounts opened by Tuesday night. Cashier Thomas announced the progress and noted steady customer participation.
