Death of Mrs Maude Rice Monroe in Grenola Okla
Death reported Tuesday for Mrs Maude Monroe formerly Maude Rice of Grenola Oklahoma who died of typhoid fever at home. Funeral held Wednesday afternoon with burial in Grenola. Relatives present include George Rice and wife Mia Hugh Phillips and Raymond Rice. Twin brother Nathan Rice serves in France. Maude Rice born and raised in Jasper, class of 1910 graduate, a skilled musician. She married Thomas Monroe recently and was widely beloved. Youths aged 21 must register by August 24 1918 consult local draft boards.
