Red Cross Starts Fourth Campaign Against Home Farm Accidents
Jimmy Gammill of the South Sea county Red Cross announces the fourth annual self inspection campaign in schools nationwide to remove hazards in homes barns and fields. Lists of check items cover floors stairs porches appliances tools toys fires trash poisons firearms and machinery. The Red Cross cites 32 000 to 40 000 deaths yearly and 140 000 to 200 000 permanent disabilities from home and farm accidents as a national calamity. Mrs Bish recently returned from Los Angeles.
