The Jal Boy Scouts held a Court of Honor at 7:00 P M on October 1 1946 in the Jal high school auditorium with 25 boys. Jenie Burke and David Baum carried flags. M R Madera distributed honors as J B Baum and H L Poage served as witnesses. many earned merit badges including Armstrong, Burke Jr., Baum, Eas ing, Brinin stool, Posey and others received tenderfoot or first and second class.

Jonnie Sallye Crash Injures Two Passengers

Last Rites For Mrs Hicks Held In Texas Church
Funeral services for Nora Ellen Martin Hicks were held Friday at the Church of Christ conducted by Pastor John Fulmer. Born December 2, 1889 in Alabama, she moved to Texas at age seven and married Perry Charn Hicks on December 56, 1909 in Hugh Springs. Survived by five sons and three daughters, plus two sisters, a brother, and two grandchildren.
