Six people were injured when a bus bound for Eunice was struck by an oil field truck driven by Bill Sandlin of the M. J. Delany Truck Company near Bill's Bar six miles from Jal. Kenneth Sherman of Hobbs was the bus driver and Sandlin received a 75 day county jail sentence in Lovington.
