Mrs Bailey Honored at Shower in Home of Mrs Bailey

Mrs Joe Mounts and Mrs Jim Whitworth hosted a Friday afternoon bridal shower for Mrs Woodrow Bailey at her home. Guests made tea towels for the bride in a competition, won by Mrs W H Norris. Refreshments included cocoa coffee cake jello and sandwiches.

The Epworth League held a Sunday gathering at the usual hour with new officers Hal Betty president and Francis Butler secretary treasurer. A party followed at P. H. Norfleet’s home with many league members and guests ages 8 to 16 invited to join and enjoy the social event.

Methodist Church Notes in Dallas Leader Speaks in New Mexico Plan

Bishop Ivan Lee Holt of Dallas will speak Thursday at 3 p m at the Methodist Church in Santa Fe area as New Mexico Conference presiding officer. The church Society promotes debt payoff for church and parsonage Woolworth Hall naming in honor of Clyde Woolworth. A Youth Crusade to enlist non religiously trained youth starts in February.
