The G M C C met Thursday November 18 at the home of Mr and Mrs Wayne Cheek for weekly entertainment. Members played cards dominoes and chinkerchecks then enjoyed fried quail and refreshments.
Wink Wildcats remain undefeated by beating Pecos 37 13 on Thanksgiving Day. Pecos led 12 7 at halftime but Wink dominated in the second half, scoring 25 unanswered points while Pecos was held to one more touchdown. Injuries limited both squads and the report notes a stray line about a diamondback snake.

It produced 463.65 barrels in two hours and 737.74 in six hours. gas oil ratio 884 to 1. The pay zone tops at 2660 feet and was shot with 510 quarts of nitroglycerin. Location details cited as south 87 from a line and other bearings.
Lovington leaders announce a December 1 election to select a committee to carry on range and farm programs in Lea county. Schedule has Lovington at 10 a.m. at the courthouse, Tatum at 2 p.m. with location tbd, Hobbs at 7 p.m. in the chamber of commerce office. Cards sent to eligible farmers require signature. All farmers and ranchers are urged to attend.
