The Junior Young People's Endeavor Society of the Church of God hosts a speech and play social Friday at 7 30 pm. The program features talks dramatics and other wholesome entertainment. Refreshments will be served and all young people are invited.
Mrs Emilou Betty announces an amateur contest for all children every Saturday at 8 30 p m on Rex Theatre stage. If successful it will become a weekly event. A ladies free matinee is set for Tuesday at 2 p m featuring the picture Three Cheers for the Irish. Mrs Talmage Norfleet went to Carlsbad to join her husband.
Reverend G. L. Keever of the Methodist Church received a pound party after Wednesday services. Congregation members presented groceries and dried foods in pounds. Mayor A. H. Adams' mother returned to Dallas after a visit in Snyder and points in Louisiana.
