Methodists Attend Vacation Bible School in Lovington

Norma Baird Improves After Meningitis Battle
Norma Fay Baird daughter of Mr and Mrs Ralph Baird is reported improving in Big Spring after a three week illness from a non contagious meningitis following a streptococcal throat infection. She received a blood transfusion Tuesday and her fever subsided as she began asking for her dolls.

Black man sentenced to 100 days in jail for domestic assault

Population of Jal declined slightly this week with 46 men laid off as El Paso Natural Gas Plant construction nears completion.
