Golf Course Lease Made Affects Buffington Ranch
Eighty acres of land on the Buffington ranch east of Straightway is leased for a nine hole golf course. About 45 members have joined and the club plans to double that. Rwy. E. Beaird says the course will open to players in ten days at a very reasonable price.

Barbecue Draws Game and Fish Group in Permian Basin

City Lake in Draw Planned by Civic Group
A proposal to create a lake by damming a northern Jal draw near the City park moved forward this week. Hunter Hughes asked the Civic Club to sponsor the plan, estimating a $1000 to $1500 earthen dam with a ten foot depth after rain. State Game Department fish would stock the lake, trees would boost its playground value, and land from Hubbs and Justis would becomes lake area. A. H. Wampus Adams was named committee chairman to study feasibility and seek financial backing.
