Ereil Ward son of Abs Ward of Wilson returns home after about a year with the Expeditionary forces in France. He was wounded at Marnheims and later in the leg, but his injuries were not life threatening. He went over the top, brought back three Germans, landed in the U.S. on Christmas day and has since been in hospitals awaiting an artificial limb. Lee Curtis Ward, in France port of embarkation, expects to sail home soon. Lee had studied dentistry and plans to practice in Jackson after discharge.
