Memorial Day Observance By Odd Fellow Lodges

The Jackson lodge will observe Memorial Day on Sunday June 1st with a 2 P.M. service at their hall followed by cemetery rites. Rev. Nash will preach at 11 A.M. at the Episcopal church. Public invited to all services.

Memorial Services at Episcopal Church Observe Memorial Sunday

Memorial services are planned at St John's Episcopal Church next Sunday May 25 at 11 A M to honor Civil War Spanish and recent war veterans. Exemptions granted for Hyemmerer Grand Jury members W P Redmond Jno Mayer and T H Brown referenced. Community notes report painting remodeling of JR Jones bakery area and a club dance for returned soldiers. Forest fire cleanup crews assisted by five or six men near Wilson. Frank Van Vleck and Frank Wilhelm visited Jackson for seed grain. Harrie Robison selling stock and household goods to move family to Omaha and take a new job as brand in waste.

Soldiers Return Tot Jackson Hole Area Veterans Welcomed Home

Almer Nelon who served with the Engineer Corps in France returned after muster out at Camp Kearney on April 16. He will not return soon, plans to teach near his hometown. John A. Warner, from a Snake River Canyon ranch, came back after transferring in the 116th Ammunition Train. Robt. Dalley is expected to return from Camp Mills. Forest Service and cattlemen work on Miner Creek drift fence. moving picture show advertised for Saturday night promising two hours of happiness.

Eighth Grade Entertained by Local School Musicians

The Jackson Tigh school class including Misaes Bessie Loyd Billa McCain and Lenora Tloyd entertained the Eighth grade pupils and guests with music and dancing at the Hull Monday 10.0 PF event. Refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Music was furnished by the Fuller Orchestra. Everyone present had a jolly good time.

Gone to Rochester for Mayo hospital stomach operation

Mrs. T. H. Baxter travels with Mrs. E. A. Staln toward Rochester Minnesota where Baxter will undergo a serious stomach operation at the Mayo hospital. They’ll pass through Missouri and Town visiting relatives before Rochester.

Bridge Across Snake River Promised Action by Officials

Richard Winger and Harry Wagner returned from Cheyenne where they met with State Highway commissioners about reconstructing the Snake River bridge between Wilson and Janknow. The commission pledged a joint state and federal investigation within two weeks to cut red tape, with plans to start construction on a good bridge at an early date.

Cars Turn Turtle Near Goverment Ranch in Jackson

Report of several vehicle mishaps including the Jas. Budge Ford overturning on a high bank east of town injuring Louis Curtis slightly and Allen Budge escaping unharmed.
