Hotel Sale Nears Completion With Wort as New Proprietor

A pending deal on the Mute Jagligon properties seems nearly closed with A. J. Wort poised to take over the hotel and appoint Jack Frost as manager. The present manager Mr Loowls retires to pursue other interests. Wort plans extensive changes and improvements once papers arrive. Nearby Flat Creek residents joke about a delusion from Frank Peterson after a supposed U Boat 5% attack on Slim Hastian’s cabin. Also listed: two coming three-year-old Short Horn bulls and three five-year-old White Face bulls from Trexler Mosser herd offered for sale. Mrs Guy Ratliff and Mrs Lizzie Simpson of Plat Creek visited town. a dance with music by Mrs Gunbeck and Earnest Woolard Friday night.

A heavy wet snowstorm with high winds disrupted rail service from Ashton to Victor and along the Teton Pass. Tracks are frozen and cleared with difficulty as mail runs resume slowly, with dynamite used to blast slides but cold conditions hinder explosions.

Elk Herd in Good Condition Despite Winter Storms

The government ranch elk east of Jus son remain healthy and should weather winter with minimal losses. While most stock fed on the ranch survived severe storms, hundreds of head from the mountains, especially young, are in poor shape and some have died. Replacement losses are expected but likely smaller than winter mortality. The Jackson precinct justice office records were transferred to Geo. R.
