Blumine and Carlyle's Circle in Victorian Legacy
Dr Guthrie of London married a daughter who bore Margaret Gordon Carlyle's Blumine. Walker recalls 1832 and 1851 observations of the lady, a Banner man niece, described as fair and accomplished. Lady Bannerman later lived in Hampstead life, died about 1886 after Sir Alexander Bannerman’s death in 1862.
