Four Injured in Buggy Accident After Sunday School

Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fletcher and their two children were thrown from a buggy when a frightened mule bolted after a passing car. All four sustained many bruises but no broken bones. a little girl lost several teeth.

Captain Samuel E. Glass Dies at 73

Funeral services were held Sunday at Jenkinsburg Methodist Church for Captain Samuel E. Glass of Jenkinsburg a Civil War veteran and prominent local figure aged 73. He died early Saturday at his home after weeks of illness survived by his wife and nine children living in Jenkinsburg, Ocilla, Atlanta, McDonough and Zebulon.

Reception For Miss Minnie Bailey And George Mallet

A Wednesday evening wedding reception at the home of Mrs. B. P. Bailey followed the marriage of Miss Minnie Bailey and George Mallet. Guests greeted by Nattie Rae Pittman Exie Ham Rosa Newton Maggie Belle Bessie Thaxton Park Newton and Lawrence Crawford were served punch by Rosalie Carmichael and Laura Daughtry. Pink and white decor featured pink carnations, pink tulle, and a crystal cake presented amid pink sweet peas. The bridal party cut the cake amid many thoughtful gifts displayed in the living room.
