He claims it prevents attacks if given when the child first becomes hoarse or even after the croupy cough develops and advises keeping a bottle ready at hand for immediate use. A Chicago Tribune item recounts how a Haycraft cousin from Chicago triggered a postmaster’s alert. The postmaster feigned no mail then revealed a letter, noting the quick reaction when he said Hold up.
A dated advertising snippet claims Stomach and Liver health improves mood and ambition. It touts Dr King’s New Life Pills for increased strength and a “keen clear brain.” The ad promotes a 25 cent price and references Gunn & Co selling groceries.
