Steve Plymale Found Guilty of Murder in Flovilla Case

Steve Plymale was tried on the charge of murdering Town Marshal Willard in Flovilla last summer. The jury deliberated into the night and returned a verdict of guilty with a mercy recommendation. The trial concluded early this morning.

Daniel Daniel Tendered Banquet by Local Odd Fellows

Robert T. Daniel deputy grand sire of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows visited Jackson Lodge No. 152 this week as presiding judge in the Superior Court. A reception banquet followed with 66 members and eight young ladies serving refreshments. Judge Daniel spoke, was introduced by H. M. Fletcher, and attendees praised the event as one of the finest in lodge history.

Butts County Superior Court Convened with Mixed Verdicts

Butts county Superior Court adjourned Wednesday after a weeklong session led by Judge R. T. Daniel. The grand jury elected foreman F S Etheridge. Civil docket items included verdicts for defendants in several cases and charter grants to Slaton Drug Co and Independent Brothers and Sisters of Love. Criminals heard included Aiken burglary twelve years and Andrews homicide acquittal among others.
