Fenton High School District 100 in Bensonville shifts monthly board meetings to 8 p.m. on the third Tuesday, replacing the former 7:45 p.m. start. Board member Lawrence Reimer requested the change on Tuesday.
Mark Magnuson of Edgebrook Hanover Park earned the Life Scout rank at Troop 285’s first public awards night in the Robert Frost cafeteria on November 16. They seek to manufacture truck campers and travel trailers and operate a sales office.
Wood Dale village council approved fluoridation of Wells 2 and 3 after Comr. of Public Property Ralph Madonna recommended buying precision pumps at 269 dollars each. Alexander Chemical Co. awarded the installation contract. Test of Wells 1 found fluoridation unnecessary.
Final day for Roselle Methodist Church members to donate toys games and costume jewelry for Newberry Center Christmas bazaar items will be sold at minimal price. Proceeds fund recreational and educational programs including cooking sewing home making child care and basketball. Three volunteers already deliver items by wagon to Newberry Center.
Pvt. Robert J. Anderson aged 18 from 418 Memorial Street was held by police after an AWOL report from Camp Pendleton California. He was found sleeping in a railroad station shortly after midnight Tuesday awaiting arrival of military police from Great Lakes Naval Station.
