Farmers report new gas rig on Whitney creek and rising grain yields. Ayers Bros plant over four hundred acres of grain while Wilson Bros pursue two thousand eight hundred acres of flax and grain. A lively piece closes with a humorous plea for old time fashion and maidens.
The Miles City Hooster special arrived Wednesday for a brief twenty minute visit. Sixty or more riders and a Cowboy Band led a procession down the main street with a drum-major, playing Cheer, Cheer, the Gang's All Here. Crowds greeted them with handshakes and merriment before the train departed.
Sunday School at 9:30. Evening sermon June 11 on What manner of man. An orchestra of four pianos cornet and violins will perform a sacred concert each Sunday night at 8 sharp for about 15 minutes. Attendance urged. pastor Prone abtock.
Chas deGraffetheid will construct a one story frame building 20 by 30 on the north lot adjoining his saldah. F Z Gray plans to use it for post office, serving over a thousand patrons. The contract goes to F M Schwartz with W B Meier handling carpentry. steel partitions and new boxes planned for a neat county office.
On Monday evening at 4130, H. W. Thomas of the XIT ranch with Mr. Corban and family and schoolchildren drove out. A back wheel collapsed causing the car to overturn. Mrs. Corban fractured her tibia, Livella Corban sprained her shoulder, Maxine Daign suffered facial and internal injuries, and William Dolan had a severe leg cut and sprains. Other occupants were bruised or shaken. Cedar Creek correspondent.
