Sunday Blaze Destroys Cedar Trees in Park Area
About twenty feet of cedar trees on the property of John Cipperty along Rotiro Lane were destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon before the Livingston Fire Department could extinguish it. The alarm sounded at 5:25 p.m. as residents nearby were at Memorial Park. Fire crews feared the trees near the Croton Aqueduct could threaten nearby property and the blaze spread rapidly due to private water pressure issues.
