The marriage of Rosalie Taplinger daughter of Mr and Mrs John Taplinger of New York and Irvington Hudson Hebert Retner will take place tomorrow Friday at 5 pm in the brides parents home The maid of honor is Dorie Taplinger sister of the bride and Joseph Rodner will attend The bride will wear a white taffeta bouffant gown and carry an old fashioned bouquet of garden flowers The ceremony will be attended by immediate family and Warner Bros. executive Robert Taplinger The couple will reside in New York City after the wedding with Mrs Newberry returning from Vassar for the spring vacation

Raymond Morrell of 10 Main Street was injured in a two car crash on Roland Avenue near Washington Avenue in Ardstey Dure shortly before noon Tuesday. Alfred Jancas of 19 Grove Street drove the other car, owned by United Cleavers and Dyers Inc. Morrell’s car, owned by The Credit Clearing House Adjusting Corp., collided after Morrell honked to pass as Jancas left to turn onto Roland. Morrell’s car struck a hydrant, damaging the left side. Morrell’s car was towed to John’s Garage for repairs to the running board, right front and rear fender, bumper and axle. No other injuries reported.
The High Senior class will hold a cake sale Saturday in the old Petri store at the corner of Main and South Dutcher Streets. Proceeds will go to Clare Rin Fan. Sale opens at 10:30 in the morning and ends about 2 in the afternoon. Leaders are Blaesor Myre, Patricia Galluster and Catherine Rely.
Murphy wins mayoralty with 894 votes, defeating Edwin Fiske 488 and Matthew Murtha 421. Trustees Addison Hastings and Adam McFadden elected, James Lyden reelected police justice. turnout reaches 1,471 ballots with evening crowds setting a new high.
A Sunnyside Circle meeting elected new officers led by Mrs. Esther McCarthy as chief companion and Mrs. Mabel Murphy as second, with Katherine Mor as recording secretary and Margaret Jewer as treasurer. The group also announced party plans and a melodrama to be staged by the Thursday Club with local hosts and a dance afterward.
