Police Court Fines 3510 for the Year
Police Justice James J. Lydon reported the Irvington village police court processed 377 cases in the year ending February 29. 262 arrests by Irvington officers and 113 by Oakland police on Saw Mill River Parkway. A reckless driving charge noted a Wednesday morning incident on Saundays night when patrolmen stopped Bariot after his car struck a member of the public near Station Road. Police said he was driving over the center line and fled before a witness sighted him.

Patrolmen John Rudick and John B McBride found the ticket office safe door ajar at 1:15 am Tuesday while inspecting the Irving ton station. They alerted police and railroad detectives fearing burglary. Detective Sergeant Thomas Mc Gowan reported the safe’s contents intact in the morning.

Chest X Ray Exams For Irvington Residents Today
More than a dozen Irvington residents have registered for chest X ray exams to be given by the Westchester Tuberculosis Association in a mobile unit on the Irvington High School grounds on Main Street this afternoon and evening and tomorrow. Exams start at 1:00 this afternoon and run until 8:00 with an hour break between 4:00 and 5:00. The project is sponsored by the village through a mayoral committee. Appointments have been made and letters sent to those registered. The mayor urges every resident to get screened whether or not they feel ill, and those not on the list should come for a confidential report mailed to each examined.
