Grout passes an open competitive examination to qualify for appointment as a publicity representative at the Radio Bi Fens division of the State Publicity Department of Commerce. The position offers an annual salary from perhaps increasing to a maximum of 5 720 with annual increments.
The French moving picture Passionelle was pulled from showing in Dobbs Ferry after numerous protests to the Dobbs Ferry Theatre management. The institute for the French picture Winter Meeting featuring Belle Davis had started but was withdrawn amid objections.
An exhibit during June 18 to 20 at the Irvington Presbyterian Church will showcase numerous paintings by artists including Gr ood, Ruierae Semi Co tischers and Gradina Moses of the Canadian group. The display features colonial pictures and other works, with curators highlighting the era’s style and notable regional artists.
Mrs. Aevin Cumming was seated as president of the Dobie Percy Woman's Club at a recent meeting. Dashe Ferry, present with a silver cadena, praised the retiring president, Mrs. Irving Harris Dashe Ferry. New officers and members were introduced, with decor details noted and thanks given to retiring leaders.
Kurt Sehungebings once connected to Anetra and his wife, along with Dave Ter, reunited at Leighton's Saw Mill River Park last Friday. Colonel Hugh Leighton Jr accompanied them, having aided their release from prison.

June Battaly donated nineteen art pieces to the scholarship fund and 1975 was added to the fund. A social period followed with refreshments.
Horace N. Taylor Jr son of Mr and Mrs Taylor of Hudson Trouse was killed when struck by a train near Har Mz Taslon after alighting from a train. He lived at 58 Wilts Road Triion and died at the scene. He served in World War II and was a member of Pesky Walken New Ya.
A series of bridge gatherings in Irvington and nearby areas raise funds for the Children's Museum. Mrs. Lasie Case of Tarrytown plans a dessert party for men on Tuesday June 15 with more events to follow. Summer programs include crafts sessions and a daytime ground meeting in August for children.

The talk titled Have we carried the Social Gospel too far will be the first in a series organized by the rector and vestry to bring timely speakers to the community with an invitation to residents of Tarrytown and Dobbs Ferry to attend.
Sarah Weaver, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C Neaver of Matthiessen Park, graduated with honors at Scarborough School commencement. She led in school activities including the student council and Star of the Fortnightly, starred on the girls varsity basketball team for three years, played tennis, and belonged to the Arts and Crafts Club for two years.
Trustees discussed preserving the Trivington honor roll listing village servicemen in World War II, considering keeping it near the War Memorial or relocating it to the Town Hall. They also planned a public hearing on tightening plumbing licensing to cancel licenses when an officer leaves.

The Sixth Grade presented a show featuring a large cast led by Dina Taylor and Miss Whiter. Cast members include Nadine Elizabeth Bursts, Ralph John Drakes, Peter Donald Costello, Janet Nancy Friberg, and others. Under Miss Whiter, the class performed three musical numbers, Go Tell It on the Mountain, Melly Medley, and A Patriotic Creed.
