Irvington Board Advances Meeting and Approves Purchases
The Irvington Board of Education moved its regular meeting date from Monday June 0 to last Monday evening and approved several items. They authorized buying two upright pianos at 555 each plus electrical stage accessories for the Elementary School auditorium and equipment for the High School gymnasium at 15 000. A final bills payment of 105657 was authorized and a final seal year meeting is planned before June 30. Sydney T. Ellis will join the board July 1 replacing Richard C. Wells who will vacate the presidency. The Citizens Advisory Committee reports are pending with three sub committees expected to submit this week and a full committee report in 60 to 90 days.
