Patrolmen promoted. mayor\n Authorized guardian committees for guarding rotational with Selective Service Puard Ng to plan sewer extensions and road improvements, including Grove Commission projects and sewer connections to West Man Steel. actions to be completed by year’s end.
J K Pearce resigns as member of the village Board of Appeals citing pressure from other duties. He notes his role as director of Dobbs Ferry Hospital left insufficient time for zoning board work. The resignation is to take effect on June first.

Informal classroom parties replaced formal ceremonies as students enjoyed early holiday festivities. The annual Christmas concert in the Wis School auditorium drew a large crowd for performances by the school band orchestra and senior and junior choirs.
Edith Behrens married Walter Roshet McBride of South Perris Street on a Saturday in December at the home of Rev George M Whitmore in Grinnell. The couple planned a short wedding trip and would return Friday to make their home at 19 Main Street.
